Out with the Old

Hello all and welcome back! Let's pick up right where we left off! The Lakers General Manager, aka the big boss is Rob Pelinka. This is the guy Lakers fans are currently praising because of his off-season moves. He's traded a lot of players, but has also gained many key assets.

Players that we're traded this off-season include Kyle Kuzma, Marc Gasol, Quinn Cook, Jared Dudley, Alex Caruso, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell, Markieff Morris, Dennis Schröder and Wesley Matthews. Those are a lot of players the Lakers either traded or cut and some were even part of the championship team in the 2019-2020 season. Personally, I'm devastated the Lakers traded Kuzma, but I know it's for the best and I'll be rooting for him in Washington. I also can't wait to see Alex Caruso dunk out there in Chicago with a previous Laker player, Lonzo Ball. Out of this photo, only 2 Lakers remain.

Pelinka developed this year's team around those 2: Lebron James and Anthony Davis. The players he resigned from the past season is the 20 year-old rookie, Talen Horton-Tucker or THT, who personally I am a huge fan of because he can drive, shoot and play defense. Next, is Kostas Antetokounmpo, who's last name should sound very familiar because it's Giannis' younger brother. Lastly, Pelinka decided to stick with Devontae Cacok to help in the paint. Hopefully these three make the most of this year or they might end up getting traded as well. Next post, we'll get into the details of who the Lakers signed to join the team this season and let's just say, they're some pretty big names. These two are going to have the pressure of  proving many critics wrong and bringing home another ring.
